Mildred M. (Baehl) Rexing, 95, of Evansville, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Heritage Center. Mildred was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 29, 1923 in Evansville to the late Henry and Otilla (Baumgart) Baehl. She was a lifelong member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County.

Mildred was a wonderful mother and shared her faith and love with all she met. She loved to travel with her husband Clarence to visit family and on Senior Citizens excursions. She canned untold number of vegetables and jellies over the years.

Surviving Mildred are two sons, Kenneth (Rita) Rexing and Allen (Barbara) Rexing, both of Evansville, two daughters, Sister Rose Mary Rexing, OSB of Ferdinand, and Rita (Steve) Griffith of Indianapolis, a daughter-in-law, Julie Rexing, a son-in-law Tom (Mary) Goedde, one sister, Anita Marie Rexing of Evansville, 13 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Clarence S. Rexing (2012), a son, Michael (2016), a daughter, Carol Jean Goedde (1999), and infant son, John (1957), sisters Priscilla, Sister Mary Matthew Baehl OSB, brothers, Harold, Urban, Edgar, and Walter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 30, 2019, preceded by an hour of visitation, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating the Mass. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 29 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Sisters of St. Benedict. Condolences may be left online at www. pierrefuneralhome.com.
