Obituary for Alvin Pack Sr. Alvin R. Pack, Sr., 72, husband of Virginia Dale Avins Pack, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born August 22, 1946, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Joseph M. Pack, Sr. and the late Ellie Hudson Pack. Mr. Pack was a member of Sumter First Church of the Nazarene.

He worked with Sumter Sheet Metal Works, SIFCO Mechanical, and later as a Residential Contractor. Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty years; two sons, Al Pack and Eddie Pack both of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Devin and Brandon; three brothers, Joseph Pack, Jr. of Florence, Bennie Pack of Sumter, and Billy Pack of Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hazel Pack.
