Frankfort – Alvin Russell Aldridge, 94, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, in Frankfort. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Clark officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Russell was born in Frankfort on December 20, 1924, to the late, Sol and Ethel Jane Campbell Aldridge.

He retired from the Kentucky State Government Department of Public Health. He is survived by his sister, Sylvia Elaine Elam (Richard); nieces and nephews, Melaina Fulkerson, Thomas Payton, Susie Carey, Patricia Aldridge, Teena Oaken, Rhonda Phillips, Rodney Aldridge, Royce Gaines, Mark Murphy, and Ronald Aldridge, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his siblings, Eugene Aldridge, Loraine Garrett, and Ronald Aldridge. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
