She worked for Yon Distributing, her next accounting job was working for her Dad at Grossman International. She then met the love of her life Ken in 1968 and they were married September 27, 1969. They settled in Bismarck, ND.
Then they had two daughters, Kerry and Michelle, which were the joy of her life. She loved staying home and taking care of her precious daughters and wonderful husband. She enjoyed volunteering at schools and doing child care for some dear neighbor girls.
Alvina was a social butterfly, she enjoyed being on a bowling league and playing bunko where she made many dear friends. In 2001, her grandson Michael was born. She was very excited when they moved to Bismarck in the summer of 2002 so she could care for him during the day.
They shared a very special bond and love for each other. He has wonderful memories of playing many board games, making play dough and going on special outings to the zoo and library. He loved eating Grandma’s delicious goodies.
As Michael grew up he always came to her for advice knowing she would always listen to him and be supportive. Alvina loved traveling and sharing the stories about her adventures. She continued the tradition of traveling with her family.
