Jerry Weigum September 27, 1949 – February 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Jerry Weigum, 69, Bismarck, passed away February 9, 2019, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, February 16, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Thomas R. Marcis, Jr., officiating.

There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. Jerome “Jerry” was born September 27, 1949, the son of Delton and Louise Weigum. He was raised in the Garrison area, graduated from Garrison High School, and attended Bismarck State College.

Jerry went on to work for Western Area Power Administration for 44 years and retired in 2014. Jerry married Frances Volk on October 17, 1975, and together they had two daughters, Jessica and Amber. Jerry had several different hobbies, which included, golfing, fishing, hunting, gardening, camping, and he loved watching sports.

He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends and his Shibu Inu, Max. Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Fran; his daughters, Jessica Weigum (Chris Locken), and Amber (Mitch) Lennick; his brothers-in-law, Gary (Karen) Volk and Ben (Connie) Volk; his cousins; nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delton and Louise; and stepfather, Gerald Friese.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Central Dakota Humane Society, 2104 37th St, Mandan, ND 58554.
