Amanda Skar , November 29, 1987 — May 09, 2018

Amanda Rose Skar, 30, West Bend, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2018. She was born on November 29, 1987 in Green Bay, WI. to Wayne and Kim (McAllister) Skar.

Amanda was engaged to be married to Steven Bever on August 25, 2018. Amanda graduated from Bay Port High School in 2006 and attended UW Oshkosh and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in creative writing in 2010. Most recently, she lived in West Bend, WI and was employed at Rytec Doors in Jackson, WI.

Amanda also worked for more than 10 years at Olsen’s Piggly Wiggly in Howard, WI. Amanda was a very special young lady, always giving and helping wherever and whenever was needed was loved by everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, her fiancé and her best friends, Amanda and Michael Polze, along with their two children, Aiden and Harper.

Amanda adored her puppies, Bella and Bailee and will greatly be missed by them. While in High School, Amanda earned a first degree black belt In Tae Kwon Doe. She had a very creative mind and was always writing stories.

Her dream of becoming a published author was cut tragically short. Amanda loved to cook and bake. She loved the holidays, the beach and country music, especially Luke Bryan.

Amanda will be greatly missed by her family and friends along with her extended West Bend Family. As part of her selflessness, Amanda wanted to help save lives and was an organ donor. Amanda is survived by her parents, Wayne and Kim Skar; her fiancé, Steven Bever; grandparents, Gary Skar, Bucky and Joan McAllister; many aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Skar; her great grandparents; numerous other aunts and uncles; and friends she considered her uncles, Robert Gray, and Rick Winkelspecht. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 3:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 7:00 pm. lyndahl.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Amanda’s parents would like to extend a big thank you to their family for all their support and also a big thank you to the fabulous nursing staff of the Neuro ICU at Froedtert Hospital during this difficult and tragic time.
