Obituary for Amie Charles Palmer SHELBY: Amie Charles Palmer “Chuck”, 82, died Monday, November 19, 2018 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late John and Nettie Pendleton Palmer. He was a career Army man who served during the Korean War.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. The family wants to give a special thanks to the staff of Wendover Hospice. PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillian Hope, Frances Stewart and Kate Floyd; brothers, John Palmer Jr., James Palmer and Ben Palmer Sr. SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gladys Woodall Palmer, of the home; son Randy Palmer and wife Kris of Arizona.

; daughter Lisa Palmer Ledford and husband Danny of Shelby; brother Joe Palmer and wife Grace of Shelby; grandchildren, David Allen Drewyour Jr. and wife Kati of Shelby, Randy Palmer and wife Lynn of California; Johnny Palmer and wife Erin and Daniel Palmer and wife Willa, both of Washington; and his special fur babies Handsome and Angel VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home MEMORIAL SERVICES: will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette OFFICIATING: Rev.
