Angeline “Angie” Mistic Sande, 89, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Neilson Place, Bemidji. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Nebish with Fr. John Christianson officiating.

A Time of Sharing will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Angeline’s family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the spring at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Nebish. Angie was born to Peter Sr. and Anne (Ruzicka) Mistic at home in Nebish, MN on July 24, 1929.

Angie attended a 2 room school in Nebish then went on to Bemidji High School graduating in 1948. After graduation, Angie attended St. Cloud Beauty College, upon completion she returned to Bemidji and worked at Peggy’s Beauty Shop. On March 11, 1950 she married Ervel (Bud) Sande in Wilton, MN.

Angie worked with Bud for many years at their Sande’s Mill in Nebish, MN, which they owned and operated. After the 4 boys were all attending school Angie worked for the DNR during fire season climbing the area towers and staying on watch, changing positions later to dispatching at the Bemidji Area Tanker Base for a total of 29 years. She also worked at Glogau Grocery Store, Beltrami County Lake Julia Nursing Home, Minnesota Wood Products, Nebish Township holding the positions of Treasurer and then Supervisor and Target of Bemidji.

Angie held council positions at St. John’s Catholic Church, volunteered for Bemidji area hospice and active many years in the Bemidji VFW Auxiliary. Angie was well known for her specialty of making wedding and party cakes. Angie is survived by her sons, Dennis (Brenda Aderman) Sande, Terry (Kim) Sande and Greg (Janice) Sande; 7 grandchildren, Kelly (Kelli Peterson) Sande, Amanda Current, Tara (Brad) Hall, Sheila (Johnny Hannema) Sande, Kristin (Joe) Polo, Anthony (Ashley) Sande and Randi (Brent Gilge) Sande; 4 step grandchildren, Darla (Kevin) Lick, Carla (Brandon) Baker, Starla (Chad) Sather and Daryl (Kelly) Aderman; 13 great-grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; 2 step great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ramona Pears; brother, Andrew (Debbie) Mistic; sisters-in-law, Ethelyn Eklund, Donna Hayton and LaVerne Mistic and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anne Mistic; loving husband, Ervel (Bud) Sande; son, Michael (Mickey) Sande; infant daughter, Pauletta Sande and brothers, Paul, Joe and Pete Mistic. Online guestbook at www.
