Obituary for Ann Broughton (Acree) Ann Broughton, age 95, died peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2019. She was born in Dial, Texas to Jackson and Mildred (Hill) Acree on Monday, May 21, 1923. Ann proudly worked as an operating nurse, providing her services to Baylor, Parkland and Methodist hospital for 50 years.

During her work she was blessed to be a part of surgical teams that participated in the first heart and lung transplant. Ann loved sports, she was a Rangers fanatic and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. In her younger years, she played on the women’s professional baseball league for Mobil Oil, and worked for the Cowboys Organization during the Texas Stadium years.

She was a resident of Bonham before moving to Irving and making it her home for 48 years but spent her last 20 years living in Garland. Ann will forever be remembered as a loving mom, grandma and great grandma who’s loving and caring personality will forever be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughters Marcia, Sara and Betty.

Left to cherish her memory are son Nathaniel H. Broughton IV and wife Jane; son Timothy Broughton and wife Cindy; grandson Nathaniel H. Broughton V; grandson Michael Broughton and wife Sharon; grandson Preston Sharp and wife Kayla; granddaughter Sara Ann Broughton; grandson Hunter Broughton; great grandchildren Brady and Jacob Broughton, Jude and Oliver Sharp along with numerous extended family and friends. The family requests memorial donations to the Wounded Warriors Project at www. woundedwarriorproject.org/donate A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd in Irving.
