Ann Frisby Callahan, 70, from Lonoke, passed away on Wednesday January 23rd 2019. A memorial service will be held at Park Hill Presbyterian Church on Saturday January 26th at 2:00 p.m. Ann is survived by 3 daughters, Kate Eilers, Elizabeth Callahan (Meredith) and their 2 children Elliott and Hugh, Christine Egts (Andy), and one brother Howdy Frisby (Debbie). Ann grew up in Lonoke, the daughter of the late Janice and Hugh Frisby.

She received her bachelor’s degree at Texas Women’s University as well as a master’s degree and E.D.S at Peabody University in Nashville. She taught school in Denver, Colorado; and when she married, she moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa where she spent the next 30 years raising her 3 daughters. In 2008, she moved to North Little Rock and later became a member of PHPC.

She was well read and had an opinion on everything. Ann loved to share that opinion with you whether you were ready to hear it or not. She loved to play games, most of all bridge.

She also spent time binge watching tv and reading books. She will be missed by her family, especially when they get together as she was always the spark in the room. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to The Global Fund for Women.
