Leslie Eugene (Les) Carpenter, 55, of Lonoke went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 5, 2019. He was born in Little Rock on May 14, 1963 to the late Gene Carpenter and Vivian Odom. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Carpenter.

Les graduated Lonoke High School in 1983 and directly joined the United States Army where he served 20 plus years. He was an active member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church serving in numerous capacities. He enjoyed life to the fullest and had fun everywhere he went, never meeting a stranger.

He is survived by two sons, Cody Carpenter (Anna) and John Edward Carpenter; brothers, Eddy Carpenter (Joanna) and Kenny Hesse; sister, Kelli Henderson (Darren); step-sister, Cynthia Moore (Larry); step-mother, Emma Carpenter; two grandchildren, Evie and Ella Carpenter; aunts, Birtha Larkan and Mary Thate and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.
