Obituary for Ann Marie Chojnacki (Scully) Ann Marie Scully Chojnacki, 85, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at LECOM Senior Living Center. She was born in Erie on July 21, 1932 a daughter of the late William J. and Margaret Wolfram Scully. Ann was a 1950 graduate of Villa Maria Academy and worked in wedding catering and other large events.
Most recently she worked as a dietary cook at St. Mary’s Home of Erie for 20 years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and enjoyed baking cookies and breads. In her later years she enjoyed a close relationship with the Carmelite Community.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Chojnacki and one sister, Rita Pol. Survivors include three daughters, Kelli Martin and her husband, James, of Fort Loudon, PA, Margaret Susan Papucci and her husband, James, of Erie, and Cecelia Ann Moon and her husband, John, of Indiana; two sons, John D. Chojnacki and his wife, Nora, and Daniel Chojnacki and his wife, Michele, all of Erie; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Jean Torrance of Erie; five brothers, Ed Scully of California, Thomas Scully of Erie, Jerry Scully of Union City, William Scully of Erie, and Dennis Scully of Erie; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd.
, on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Monday morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.. Entombment will follow in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 510 E. Gore Rd.
