Obituary for Barbara M. Stora (Soety) Barbara M. Soety Stora, 77, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 7, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Union City on January 3, 1941 a daughter of the late Rexford and Genevieve Visniesky Soety. Barbara graduated from Union City High School and attended beauty school.

She worked at K-Mart for over 42 years before retiring in 2014. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Shane Stora; one brother, Lawrence Soety; and her former husband, Frank J. Stora, Sr. Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Stora, Melodie Enders, and Tiffany Stora, all of Erie; one son, Frank J. Stora, Jr., of Erie; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Fletcher of Erie and Alice Ross and her husband, James, of Union City; one brother, Rexford Soety, Jr. and his wife, Betty, of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd.

, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m until the time of services there at 7 p.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2810 W. 21st St., Erie, 16506.
