Ann’s Obituary The retired owner and manager of Benbenek Catering for over 40 years, the former Ann Patricia Benbenek, passed away at Garden Gate Health Care Facility, in Cheektowaga, New York, at the age of 94. Ann was a former Eucharistic Minister and member of St. Josaphat Parish, and a volunteer at the Response to Love Center for over 10 years. She especially enjoyed being “Nana and Big Nana” to her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well was having time during retirement to Garden, Sew, do Crafts and Reading a good book.

Ann was the beloved wife of the late Rudolph W. Jablonicky, who predeceased her on April 25, 2007, and with whom this year would have celebrated 74 years of marriage. The loving mother of Sister Anne Marie Jablonicky, CSSF, and Susann (James) Musial and devoted grandmother “Nana” of Kristin (Darryl) Smith and Sara (Luke) Weaver and great grandmother or “Big Nana” of Lainie and Evan Smith and Aidan and Cora Weaver. A faithful sister-in-law of Joan Jablonicky and Helen Zwirecki.

Ann was predeceased by her brothers, Frank Benbenek, Joseph Benbenek, Walter Benbenek, Edward Benbenek, and sisters, Helen Saladyga, Mary Wieczorek, Rose Boyle, and Bernice Sojka. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St (near Harlem Road).

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Philip the Apostle Church, located at 950 Losson Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14227 on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, in Cheektowaga, New York. Donations in Ann’s memory may be made to The Felician Sisters, 600 Doat St, Buffalo, NY 14211 or the McGuire Group Journeys Program, C/O Harris Hill Nursing Facility, 2699 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville, NY 14221.
