Hermon, LA passed away Monday, January 21, 2019. She was the daughter of Kermit and Dorothy Mae Burkhalter.

Ann had a very fulfilling life. She graduated school at Vernon High School. She was raised at Crystal Springs A.M.E. Church in Mt.

Hermon, LA. She moved to Los Angeles, CA with her mother in 1969 where she remained until her passing. She married Isaac Bishop who was the love of her life.

Together, they served faithfully at Our Nation Baptist Church. Ann was a deaconess, sang in the choir and was known for her sweet potato pies. She served the Lord in any capacity that she could.

Ann leaves to cherish her memory, nieces, Kamila Burkhalter, Kimberly Burkhalter, Kelly Burkhalter, Kendra Burkhalter, Patrice Crain, Dueoan Magee, Mignon Burkhalter, Andrea Burkhalter, Maria Martin, Jessica Burkhalter, Tameka Burkhalter, Ashantia Burkhalter, Sandra Duncan, Barbara Chandler, and Brenda Frierson; nephews, Christopher Burkhalter, Kenric Burkhalter and Litdell Burkhalter, Jr.; one brother-in-law, Brisco Crain; two sisters-in-law, Napoleon Burkhalter and Carolyn Burkhalter as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Bishop; parents, Kermit and Dorothy Mae Burkhalter; sister, Neva Mae Crain; brothers, Roy Burkhalter, Kermit Burkhalter, Jr., Anthony Burkhalter, Lavern Burkhalter and Litdell Burkhalter. The visitation will be 9:00a.m.-11:00a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Crystal Springs A.M.E. Church Mt.

Hermon, LA. The funeral will follow at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Terrence August, officiating; Rev.

Larry Whitley, pastor. The interment will be held in Crystal Springs Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home-Franklinton in charge of arrangements.
