Obituary of Anna Downey Anna Marie (Siciliano) Downey, 90, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born in Landisville on April 19, 1928 to the late Gaetano “Gus” and Rose (Gruccio) Siciliano, Anna grew up on the family farm in Landisville and worked in several local clothing factories. It was while employed at Hoover’s Clothing Co that she met Richard Downey, her future husband.

Anna became employed as a cook in the cafeteria at Durand School in 1973 and remained there until her retirement in 2004. Anna was a compassionate person who, after retirement, continued to cook for the homeless at the Spirit & Truth Soup Kitchen. She is survived by her son, Steven & Joanne (Leonardo) Downey; son, John Downey Sr. and his girlfriend Holly; granddaughter, Brooks Downey; grandson & wife, Christopher & Christine Downey; grandson, John Downey Jr; grandson & wife, Richard & Catherine Downey; granddaughter, Stacy Descalzi; grandson & wife, Michael & Lauren Pagliughi; nine great-grandchildren and her younger brother, Edward Siciliano.

Anna was predeceased by her husband, Richard Downey; and her son, Jeffrey Downey A church visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 8:30am to 12:15pm followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 pm from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish – Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Final disposition will be private at the convenience of the family.
