Obituary of Thomas Masucci Thomas Masucci, 70, of Vineland, passed away Saturday evening, January 26, 2019, surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Thomas was born in Avellino, Italy on December 27, 1948 and moved to Vineland when he was 17 years old, where he remained a lifelong resident. Thomas was the son of the late Beniamino and Maria (Bardaro) Masucci.

Thomas worked as an educator for many years, starting his teaching career at St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland. He later worked for the Bridgeton Public School District until his retirement in 2015. Thomas had a great love for soccer, spending his lifetime playing on several indoor and outdoor teams, including a semi-professional soccer team.

He was a passionate Head Coach of the St. Augustine Prep High School Team and of the Bridgeton High School Team, where his love and enthusiasm of the sport lead them to many successful seasons. He enjoyed collecting sports cars, making wine, fishing on his boat and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs, Thor and Marley. Thomas is survived by his son, Benjamin and wife Jennifer (Neri); his daughter, Cristina and husband Vince Luciano; his wife, Catherine Masucci; brother Francesco Masucci; sister Marietta Masucci; his grandchildren, Olivia, Thomas, and Sophie Masucci and John and Nicholas Luciano and his nieces and nephews in Italy.

Funeral home visitations will be held on Thursday evening, January 31 from 6pm to 8pm and again on Friday morning, February 1 from 9am to 10am followed by a funeral service at 10am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
