Obituary of Steven Alvarez Stephen Alvarez, 51 of Vineland, died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 25th 2019. He was born on September 27, 1967 in Vineland, New Jersey. He attended Vineland Senior High School.

Stephen loved playing baseball and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the PAL where he learned and loved the sport of boxing. Steven was full of life and energy. He had a great sense of humor and always made people laugh.

In spite of all his struggles, he always had a smile on his face. Steven is survived by his mother Nilsa Mendez of Vineland; two brothers and three sisters. He is also survived by his three children, Shannon Wallace, Steven Alvarez Jr and Daniel Steven Alvarez and his three grandchildren Noah, Gia and Johanna.

A church visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2018 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm followed by a funeral mass at 1:30 pm from Divine Mercy Parish, 23 West Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. ARRANGEMENTS are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
