Anne Hutchinson Hinds, June 18, 1937 — November 21, 2018

Obituary for Anne Hutchinson Hinds Anne Hutchinson Hinds, 81, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Mrs. Hinds was born in Cambridge City, Indiana, the seventh child of Dorothy M. (Wright) and Ross M. Hutchinson. She was a graduate of Indiana University, Ball State University and Western Kentucky University.

Mrs. Hinds taught in Cambridge City and Muncie, Indiana for ten years, and in Jefferson County, Kentucky for twenty-seven years, at Medora Elementary and JCTMS (Jefferson County Traditional Middle School). After retiring from education, Mrs. Hinds spent several years as an Office Temp in the area. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, and a Kentucky Colonel.

Mrs. Hinds is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Hinds; their son, James Ross “Jim” Hinds; siblings, Robert, Richard, Rupert and Joseph Hutchinson, Margaret Garner and Martha Ervin. Anne is survived by a daughter, Kay Stafford (Ed) and several nieces and nephews, to include Mattie Krautheim (Stephen) and Steven Garner. She is also survived by numerous other family members, the Diffendorfer Family and many wonderful loyal friends and former students.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Mrs. Hinds will be laid to rest with her husband and son in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, “in St. Matthews” is entrusted with arrangements.
