Obituary for Thelma Redmon 91, passed away peacefully at her residence at Masonic Home on November 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Thelma, one of four children, was born on December 8, 1926 to the late Benjamin and Isabelle Toler (Caldwell) in London, KY. Thelma was a devoted wife to her husband of 60 years, Guy L. Redmon Jr., having joined in marriage on November 16, 1945.

Together they started their family and raised two daughters and a son. The children had a close bond with their mother, as she was very attentive and supportive throughout their lives providing them with guidance as they became adults. The proudest titles she gained in life were those of loving mother and beloved grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded by her husband, Guy; son Guy “Buddy” Redmon III; brothers Sam and Gene Toler and a sister Edna Toler. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Jodi (Bob) Hill, Mona Jones; daughter-in-law Jesse Redmon; grandchildren Erin and Kathryn Klein, Jason (Heather) Jones, Daniel (Hope) Jones, and Jerry, Chastity and Destiny Redmon; and four great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.

Burial will be private in Cave Hill Cemetery. Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, Louisville, KY 40207 “in St. Matthews” is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made as contributions to the donor’s charity of choice.
