Obituary for Mary Beams Mary Beams 71 of Louisville passed away unexpectedly Friday November 16, 2018 at Baptist Health Louisville. Mary was a member of Lyndon Baptist Church, attended Midway College before earning her degree from the UK School of Nursing. She was an RNBC, Psychiatric Nurse working at the Brook Hospital for 38 years.

Mary volunteered and taught a co- dependency support group, was an advocate for those with Down Syndrome, and was instrumental in early development programs for Down Syndrome. She was recipient of the WISE Woman of the Year and Employee of the Year Awards. She was an avid UK fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and siblings, Joseph Terry, Wanda Wade, and Pamela Terry. She is survived by Sandy Hoover (sidekick); her children, Karen Conn (Roy), Tonya Beams, C. Michael Beams, and Shaunna Gragg; grandchildren, Captain Chris Judy (Heather), Holly Judy (Nick), Sayge and Cobi Conn; great grandchildren, Scarlett, Jackson, and Emma-Faye; and extended family and friends. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday November 20, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home 12900 Shelbyville Rd.

East Louisville with entombment to follow at Restahaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday November 19, 2018 and 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Lyndon Baptist Church.
