OBITUARY Barbara Jean Leiferman January 30, 1953 – November 14, 2018 Barbara was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 30, 1953 and died peacefully on November 14, 2018. She leaves behind her husband, Kirk; daughters, Joelle Leiferman and Kyla Goss (Mitchell); grandchildren, Nathaniel, Emmett, and Fitzgerald Goss. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and music teacher.

Barbara graduated from the Catholic University of America in Music Therapy. She could play many instruments, but was a classically trained pianist and oboeist. Barbara loved gardening, music, and traveling.

She was a church organist and music teacher for over 40 years. She lived in many cities, but her favorite was time spent in Brussels, where she discovered a love of fine cheeses. While in Belgium she taught music at the International Schools of Brussels.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at Broadway Baptist Church, 4000 Brownsboro Road in Louisville, KY on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 3:00 PM followed by a Service at 4:30 PM. Because of Barbara’s love of music the family asks that any donations be made in Barbara’s name to the West Louisville Talent Education Center, Attn Keith Cook, 1316 South 28th Street, Louisville, KY 40211.
