BOARDMAN- An hour of calling will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home, followed immediately by a memorial celebration of life service, officiated by Celebrant Randi Pappa, for Annelore Dach, 88, who passed away on Friday, September 14th. Annelore was born June 26, 1930 in Fulda, Germany, a daughter of the late Gottfried and Ida (Helm) Jaehrig. Annelore was an accomplished seamstress with a lifelong devotion to sewing.

As a little girl she didn’t like playing with dolls…she’d rather sew instead. She completed her high school education with sewing training in a vocational school. When WWII ended she became a sewing instructor, and while walking home from class one day, met her late husband, Henryk Dach.

They married on June 25, 1949 and immigrated to Youngstown Ohio in 1951. After raising her family and sewing their clothes, she started sewing for locals- everything from simple alterations to custom wedding and prom dresses. She then worked at Margie’s Golden Needle for close to 20 years.

Annelore loved cooking, baking, traveling and helping others. She was an independent spirit and took up yoga and tennis in her 50’s. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children, Harry (Michelle) Dach of Memphis, Esther Dach of New Middletown, and Lore Dach of Los Angeles, her grandson Charles “Chuck” Steepleton, her sister, Else King of Boardman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henryk Dach, who passed away September 11, 2004, and her brother, Herman (Erika) Jaehrig. The family has entrusted her care to the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
