Annemarie E. Reyes, 85, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care. She was born Annemarie E. Grote on July 17, 1933 in Germany. For many years, Annemarie lived in Puerto Rico, before moving to Yardville, New Jersey in 2000 to be closer to her family.

In 2015, she settled in Matawan, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernst and Elli (Heidelberg) Grote and her beloved husband, Arturo Reyes. Annemarie is survived by her loving children, Anamia Reyes of Miami, Florida, Elli Reyes and her husband, Alberto Rivera, of Matawan, New Jersey, Rosa Rivera and her husband, Angel, of Yardville, New Jersey, Arturo Reyes of Miami, Florida, and Judy Reyes and her husband, John Powers, of Hamilton, New Jersey.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Nindiri Rivas, Anthony Rivera, Albert Rivera, Arturo Rodriguez, and Sara Rivera. Annemarie will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.

In respect of Annemarie’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Her cremated remains will be interred with her beloved husband, Arturo, on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey, where there will be a private ceremony at the cemetery chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Annemarie to the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
