Annette “Ms. Ann” Byrd Nettles, 72, of Dorchester, wife of Charles E. Nettles, passed away on Friday September 28, 2018. The graveside service will be held Monday morning October 1, 2018 at 11 o’clock in Summerville Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.

Annette was born on October 9, 1945 a daughter of the late Willie B. Byrd and Kathleen Wilkes Byrd. Annette was a member of New Journey Community Church. She was a home maker and a grandmother.

She enjoyed cooking, and sewing. She was a retired school bus driver for Dorchester County District 2 schools. Annette is survived by her loving husband, Charles E. Nettles of Dorchester; daughters Linda Nettles-Kimmons of Summerville and Debbie A. Steese (Marty) of Cross; a brother Clinton Byrd (Sally) of Summerville; 4 grandchildren, Chuck (Mandy) Kimmons, Crystal (Samson) Evans, Joey Kimmons, and Casey Kimmons; 5 great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her sister Alice Ruth Craven.
