Obituary for Annie Rodgers (Powell) Annie “Mickey” Rodgers, 91, of Swannanoa passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Mrs. Rodgers was born November 8, 1926 in Georgia to the late Paul and Ruby Aiken Powell. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Buckeye Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Harmon Rodgers; daughter, Pat Stines; son, Bruce Rodgers; two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Bryant (Terry) and Paula Rodgers all of Swannanoa; brother, Herschel Powell of Winterville, GA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:30pm at Buckeye Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Taylor and Rev. Mike Cribbs officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Sky View Memorial Park. Flowers are accepted and appreciated.
