Annie Ruth Grant Hellard, 69, of Woodleaf, died at her home Sunday, June 10, 2018. A native of Marlboro County, SC, she was born April 9, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Prevette Grant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Austin Hellard.

Mrs. Hellard had been employed with VF/Lee Jeans in the textile industry. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Salisbury. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Raymond W. “Shorty” Hellard, Jr.; two sons, Raymond Hellard III (Lynn) of Burnsville, NC, and Ralph Hellard (Carrie) of Woodleaf; one daughter, Angela Wagoner (Matthew) of Shallotte, NC; six brothers: Robert T. Grant, Jr. (Brenda) of Laurinburg, NC, Neil Grant (Ann) of Columbus, GA, Kelly Grant of Aberdeen, NC, Kirby Grant (Linda) of Vass, NC, Henry Grant (Judy) of Sanford, NC, and Lawrence Grant (Frankie) of Spencer, NC; two sisters, Betty Smith of Madison, NC and Frankie Morrison of West End, NC; seven grandchildren: Peggy Connor, Grant Hellard, Shelton Hellard, Ryan Leonard, Rhett Hellard, Hannah Leonard and Wes Hellard; plus seven great grandchildren: Addison, Kaylee, Bo, Skylar, Zain, Emma and Beverly.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Friday, June 15, at Community Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Ralph Hellard, Bro. Henry Grant and Bro.

Travis Connor. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Davie Funeral Service is serving the Hellard family.
