Robert “Perry” Richardson, 86, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the home of his daughter, Lynn, in Winston-Salem. Mr. Richardson was born in Davie County on November 5, 1931, the son of the late Robert Lincoln and Alice Keller Richardson. He attended Davie County Schools and retired as a manager in the road construction business.

He was a member of New Union United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ambra Richardson; a grandson, Adrian Richardson, and a brother, Edward Richardson. Unfortunately, another brother, Thomas “Alan” Richardson, passed away Wednesday, July 25.

(Those arrangements are incomplete. ) He is survived by four sons: Robert Richardson (Vicki) of Bath, NC, Michael Richardson of Washington, NC, Donnie Richardson of Richlands, NC, and Dennis Richardson of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Linetta “Lynn” Kelly (Neil) and Tammy Windsor (Tim), both of Winston-Salem; two brothers, James Richardson (Carolyn) of Mocksville and Ronald Richardson of Statesville; five sisters: Martha Madeline Lapish of Mocksville, Virginia Mullis of Lewisville, Shelby Cartner (Jim) of Harmony, Christine Speer of Mocksville and Barbara Reavis (Lane) of Harmony, plus twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:30 PM Friday, July 27, at Davie Funeral Chapel in Mocksville.

The Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral chapel with Chaplain Rick Charles officiating. Interment will follow in the New Union UMC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
