Anniston – Funeral service for Mrs. Annie Ruth Rutherford, 91, will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 2;00 p.m. at Leatherwood Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Owens and Rev. Ricky Pollard officiating.

Entombment will follow the service at Anniston Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 noon until the time of service. Mrs. Rutherford went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

Mrs. Rutherford is survived by her children, Barbara Holt (Henry), Lynne Welch, Alan Rutherford (Sharon), and Sharon Tucker (Mike); grandchildren, Lisa Holt Harlan (Rick), Chris Holt (Abby), Jaime Seal (Chris), Dustin Tucker (Julie), Erica Harris (Daniel), Lauren Tucker, Ethan Tucker (Sara), and Nick Rutherford (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Jory Holt (Ben), Laney Seal, Dawson Seal, William Tucker, Barrett Tucker, Evie Tucker, Drake Rutherford, Max Tucker, Dennis Holt, and Parker Holt; one brother, Fred Rhinehart; many beloved nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Pam Bryant, Cheryl Gier, Gloria Rooks, and Delois Phillips. Pallbearers will be Varon Harbin, Grandsons, and Great-Grandsons. Mrs. Rutherford was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Rev.

Charles “Cup” Rutherford, with whom she was perfectly suited in her role as a minister’s wife; her parents, Don and Nancy Rhinehart; seven brothers, Albert, Clyde, John, G.W., Reese, Sam, and Winford Rhinehart; and four sisters, Edna Tierce, Estelle Hinton, Mattie Bell Williams, and Juanita Wallace. Mrs. Rutherford was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. She retired from Wakefield’s where she worked in the Accounting Department and in her spare time she enjoyed volunteering as a Pink Lady with Stringfellow Memorial Hospital for 30 years.
