Obituary of Ann Garcia FRANKFORT – Mrs. Ann N. (Tubia) Garcia, age 86, a lifelong Frankfort resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, June 7, 2018. Born on December 8, 1931, Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Andrea) Tubia. She was raised and educated in Frankfort and on October 10, 1953 she was wed to Mr. Eric Garcia at St. Mary’s Church.
They shared in a blessed union of fifty-seven years, until Eric’s passing on October 22, 2010. Ann spent seventeen years with General Electric in Utica before making the decision to stay home and raise her sons. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and nothing gave her greater joy than time spent with her grandchildren.
She enjoyed entertaining company in her home, hosting family gatherings and being surrounded by those that she loved. She was a devout Catholic and a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, where she attended mass regularly and taught religious ed. Ann is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Terri Garcia of North Stonington, CT and Dave and Carole Garcia of Schuyler; her five beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Kylie, Tyler, Madelyn and Sophia; her sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Joseph Rosemyer of Frankfort; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband and parents, Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Carmella Garcia; her daughter-in-law, Sabrina Garcia; her sisters, Josephine Trippen, Rose Hall, Mary Kinney and Carrie Spytko; and her brothers, James Tubia, Rocco Tubia, Carmello Tubia, John Tubia, Paul Tubia and Anthony Tubia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation on Monday evening, June 11, 2018 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. Ann’s funeral service will commence on Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018, at 9:45AM at the funeral home and at 10:30AM at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev.
Paul Catena, Pastor. Procession will follow to Mt. Olivet Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Eric, and daughter, Carmella.
