Anthony Severi, 95, of Torrington, CT, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Fadoir) Severi. Anthony was born December 6, 1922, in Harwinton, CT, son of the late Alvaro and Auriela (Carbone) Severi.

He served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was employed by the Torin Corporation, a.k.a. Torrington Mfg. Co. as a Machinist until his retirement. He was a member of the Torrington Elks Lodge #372.

He was an avid golfer. He excelled in football, basketball and baseball. He is survived by daughter, Janet Bristow of Farmington, CT; four sons, John Severi and wife Billie Jean of East Haddam, CT, Robert and wife Judi of Torrington, CT, James and wife Linda of Winsted, CT, Christopher and wife Maria of Torrington, CT; five grandchildren, Beth, Amanda, Lee, Nicole and Jacqueline, a great grandson, Anthony, as well as several nieces and nephews, and his longtime companion Elsie Rossi.

In addition to his wife, two sisters, Anita Severi and Beatrice Zucco preceded him in death. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 160 Main St., Torrington, CT. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
