Anthony “Tony” Jefferys, age 54, passed away following a long term illness on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. The son of the late Willie and Elizabeth (Jones) Jefferys, he was born on April 7, 1964 in Memphis, Tennessee. Tony served his country for seven years in the U.S. Army, most notably being stationed in Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall.

On November 20, 1993 Tony was united in marriage to his wife Gina Ann and she survives his passing along with three children, Shaila Jefferys, Anthony Jefferys, Jr. and Michelle Jefferys; five grandchildren, Izayah, Jazmine, Zander, Aleah, and Chloe; two brothers, Billy and Sandy; a sister, Glenda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sherry, Bobbi, Aaron and Barry; and many other extended family members. Besides his parents, Tony was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ned and Faye. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Trahan Funeral Chapel.

Officiating will be Tony’s brother-in-law, Aaron Graves. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Visiting hours will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Trahan Chapel.
