Tomas, age 80, of Dodgeville, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Edenbrook of Platteville, following a long illness. Arnold was born on May 23, 1938 in Highland to George and Catherine (Berg) Tomas. He married Barbara Komplin on November 6, 1965 at Otter Creek Lutheran Church.

Arnold worked for the Iowa County Highway Department for 31 years retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, horseshoes and bowling. He followed the Brewers, Packers and Bucks.

Going out to eat and socializing with family and friends was a favorite pass time. His greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara on June 28, 2001; an infant son, Terry; his parents and a son-in-law, Eric Severson; a sister-in-law, Linda Tomas; a brother-in-law Bill Doescher and his faithful companion, Peanut.

Arnold is survived by three sons, John Tomas of Dodgeville; Jeffery Tomas of Cobb and Timothy (Julie) Tomas of Dodgeville; a daughter, Joann (Al Pigram) Tomas of DeForest; three grandchildren, Erick, Marcus and Ann Marie Tomas; two brothers, Virgil Tomas of Cobb and Norman Tomas of Edgerton; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Bill) Winkers of Spring Green; Sharon (James) Reisen of Oregon and Shianne Doescher of Barneveld as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville. Vicar Kate Kieckhafer will officiate with burial in the Otter Creek Cemetery.
