Obituary for Arnold Gene O’Bryant Arnold Gene O’Bryant, of Purcell, Oklahoma was born February 12, 1942 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Warren and Ella (Bratcher) O’Bryant. He passed away at his home in Purcell, Oklahoma on May 26, 2018 at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 14 days. At the young age of 11 he was interested in the game of golf, and so he began to work at a golf course.

After graduation he married his first wife Carol. From that marriage there were three children. He worked at golf courses all over Texas and Oklahoma .

He met his second wife Myrtle, (Charlie) at a dance one evening and she asked him to dance, he turned her down because he didn’t want to dance to the song, Diggin up Bones, because he could never get the beat. So he asked her to dance to another song, she accepted and he always said, his life began that night. They were married on March 30, 1991.

They owned their own golf course at one time and he was golf course Superintendent for over 60 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Preceded by; parents; Warren and Ella O’Bryant; two brothers Charles, and Joe O’Bryant.

Survived by; his wife Myrtle (Charlie) O’Bryant of the home. 6 daughters; Gina O’Bryant; & Lisa O’Bryant both of Norman, OK. ; Dena Justice of Purcell, OK.

; Dana Justice of Noble, OK. Dawn Green & husband Randy of Purcell, OK. ; Misti Justice, of Purcell, OK.

2 sons; Randy O’Bryant & wife Sherry of Moore, OK. Algon Gene Williams, of Chickasha, OK. 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers; Matthew O’Bryant, Dustin Gober, Elijah Green, Zach Robertson, Tristan Elledge, and Brian O’Bryant. ; Honorary Pallbearers; Randy O’Bryant, David O’Bryant, Terry O’Bryant, Jamie O’Bryant, and Randy Green.
