Arthur Staszak, 91, Wausau, died on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Aspirus Hospice House. He was born on January 16, 1927 to the late Walter and Helen (Sliwicki) Staszak in Cudahy, WI. When he was 8 years old the family moved to the town of Wausau.

He graduated from Wausau High School in 1945. On July 1, 1950 he married Delores Zietlow of Edgar at St. Michael. Arthur was a lifelong member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a member of the Third Degree Knights of Columbus George Schreier Council #1069 and enjoyed participating in the Tootsie Roll drive.

He was a truck driver all his life. He worked for Leon Burger Trucking for 16 years and later, he drove gas and oil truck, retiring from Wausau Energy in 1988. Among his favorite pastimes he enjoyed playing cards and walking dogs for people.

Survivors include his wife Delores and son Robert (Judy) Staszak of Wausau, daughter Carol (Clem) Jauquet of Eagan, MN, granddaughter Nicole Jauquet, great grandson Caden of Somerset, WI and sister-in-law Elsie Zietlow of Edgar. Besides his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his son Elroy and brother-in-law Delbert Zietlow. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau.

Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.
