AS1 John Richard Shuhr (USN, Ret. ), 77, of Jacksonville, FL passed away October 1, 2018. He was born October 25, 1940 in Maryland to the late Lorraine Earnshaw.

John served his country in the United States Navy, retiring after 23 years of faithful service. He was a member of the VFW Post 5968, American Legion Post 0137, Loyal Order of the Moose Mandarin Lodge 42 and the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 091. John is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 44 years, Sandra Phillips Shuhr.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Parlor. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Garden of Everlasting Life in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Mrs. Shuhr requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society at www.

cancer.org in John’s memory.
