Obituary for Ashleigh Nicole Kidwell Ashleigh Nicole Kidwell, daughter, granddaughter, and sister, passed away on January 2, 2019 at the age of 29. Ashleigh was born May 25, 1989 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome (MPS-IIIA) at age 8.

She was also afflicted with Lupus and Turner Syndrome. She graduated from Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a sweet light and blessing to her family in the midst of her many health challenges.

Ashleigh is survived by her loving parents David and Anna, grandparents Arthur and Roberta Kidwell, grandfather Robert Allen, grandmother Margaret Vogts, sisters Danielle (husband Matthew Cuculic), Brooke, and Callie, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 8th from 10am – 12pm, followed by the memorial service at 12:00pm. Both the visitation and memorial service will be held at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy, Louisville, Kentucky.

The Children’s Medical Research Foundation was formed for the purposes of raising public awareness and funds to support medical and scientific research into the causes of, and cures for, Sanfilippo Syndrome and other neuro-genetic diseases afflicting children.
