Audrey Louise Sidler Glass July 01, 1923 – January 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Audrey Louise Sidler Glass, 95 of Bella Vista, AR passed away on Friday January 4th 2019. Audrey was born on July 1st 1923 in Chicago, Illinois as the daughter of Hobart McKinley and Ebba Marie Johnson Sidler. She was the valedictorian of her class at Fenger High School in 1941.

On June 9th 1945 she married Homer Albert Glass, Jr. of Morgan Park near Chicago. Audrey graduated from Chicago Teacher’s College in June 1963 and began her career as a high school science teacher in the Chicago Public Schools, returning to teach at Fenger HS, until her retirement. Audrey and Homer then moved to Bella Vista, AR in 1983 to enjoy golf, bridge, travel, cruises, and more time with family and friends.

Audrey hit a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole at Branchwood in Bella Vista on July 4th of 1988. She traveled the U.S. extensively, as well as visiting Canada, Russia, Fiji, Norway, the Caribbean, England, France, Germany, Mexico, and Tanzania, Africa. Audrey is survived by her beloved family: her brother, Vernon Lowe Sidler of Bella Vista, her daughters, Dale (Louis) Iaconelli, Carol (Henry) Lazzaro, her sons, Kenneth and David (Michele), her eight grandchildren, and her thirteen great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held on January 26, 2019, at 4 pm, at The Plaza in Bella Vista. Audrey will be interred with Homer at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date in March. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to your local Lions club.

Audrey was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose life was filled with love and gratitude for the blessings from God. When we think of Audrey her kindness and her laughter will warm our hearts forever. She also requested that she be remembered for her second favorite phrase: “I dealt; I pass”.
