Audrey’s Obituary Audrey Naomi Smith, 85 of Paxton, passed away at 10:47 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at the Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living. A private burial will be held in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Audrey was born April 5, 1933, in Paxton the daughter of Fred and Oral Bear Smith. In her youth, she married Alan Turner; this marriage resulted in one daughter, Melissa Turner Rogers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jan Rogers of Hilton Head, South Carolina; four grandsons, Travis (Bailey) Rogers, Brent Rogers, Blake Rogers, Christopher Rogers and one great grandson, Luke Thomas Rogers.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents. She graduated from Paxton High School in 1951 and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois. She lived in Urbana for a number of years before returning to Paxton.

Audrey enjoyed gardening and reading and was an excellent knitter and seamstress. Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be offered at www.
