Babrba Sobek Lee July 03, 1932 – May 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Barbara Sobek Lee, 86, of Charles Town died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility, Kearneysville. Born July 3, 1932 in New York State. She was the daughter of John J. Sobek and Mary (DeVoe) Sobek.

Mrs. Lee retired after 20 years with the Vernon, Texas State Hospital as a Forensic Psychologist and also served as Program Director. She was of the Catholic faith. She received her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Missouri State University and was a member DAR.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan L. Restifo and husband Thomas, of Summit Point, Sharon D. Burgoon and husband Michael, of Pennsylvania, Sondra H. Lee-Augustine, of Pennsylvania, Stacey V. Lee-Ramirez and husband Roland, of Texas; sons, Robert C. Lee and wife Pam, of Florida and Richard C. Lee, of Summit Point; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and brother, John J. Sobek, of New Jersey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Charles Lee who died Aug. 31, 1996.

Friends will be received at a later date. Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County relay for Life, c/o Patricia Ott, 145 Donald Drive, Charles Town, WV 25414.
