Obituary for Barbara A. (Copple) Hickman FOUNTAINTOWN – Barbara A. (Copple) Hickman, age 79, of Fountaintown, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at her home. She was born on March 16, 1939 in Shelbyville, as the daughter of Enos Copple and Helen (Draper) Copple. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1957.

Barbara married David L. Hickman on August 16, 1958. She worked for Indiana National Bank in the accounting department, before being promoted to management after 6 months of service. When her children were born, she became a stay at home mom for several years.

Upon returning to the work force, Barbara worked for Holiday Inn and First Federal Savings and Loan, in Shelbyville. She retired as an assistant head teller in 1990. Mrs. Hickman was a member of Fountaintown Methodist Church and loved traveling, playing cards, and weekends at the lake.

Barbara is survived by her husband, David Hickman, of Fountaintown; son, Jerry D. (Diana) Hickman, of Kokomo; daughter, Lisa M. (Rusty) Kimmerly, of Greenfield; 4 grandchildren, David R. (Britney) Hickman, Jennifer (Marvin Reimer) Hickman, Kyler Kimmerly, and Kayla Kimmerly; 3 great-grandsons, Avery, Elijah, and Micah; and 1 great-granddaughter, Chandler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Debbie Ann Hickman. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy.

40, Greenfield, IN 46140, with a funeral service immediately following at 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., at Concord Cemetery, in Fountaintown. Pastor Michael Smith will be officiating.
