OBITUARY Barbara A. Cummings December 5, 1931 – July 14, 2018 Barbara A. (Welch) Cummings, age 86, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her residence. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Henry F. and Mary E. (Gilligan) Welch, she was a lifelong resident of the city. A graduate of the former Mount Saint Mary’s Academy, Class of 1950, she worked as a bookkeeper at Citizens for Citizens for over twenty years.

She was a member of the Investment Club “Money Cloners”. She is survived by two sons, Matthew W. Cummings and his wife Julie of Dighton, Peter J. Cummings Jr. and his wife Sarah of Somerset; one sister, Delores M. DiBeneditto and her husband Antonio of Fall River, four grandsons, Craig Bazinet, PJ. , Jake and Nathan Cummings; four great-grandchildren, Maya,, Molly, Aiden and Jameson and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Donna M. Boyd and grandmother of the late John “Jack” Boyd. Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited.

Contributions in her honor may be made to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Rerdzt/ Foundation, 249 Roosevelt Ave. Suite 201, Pawtucket, RI 02860. Burial private.
