Obituary for Barbara A. Smith Barbara A. Smith 95, of Bonita Springs, FL died Friday, May 4, 2018 at Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice. She was born May 10, 1922 in Bradford, PA a daughter of the late Ernest L. and Ruby M. (neé Corwin) McIntire. In 1927, Barbara and her family moved to Ft.

Myers from Bradford, PA. In 1940, Barbara graduated from Ft. Myers High School.

After raising her family, she worked at the Lee County Supervisor of Elections office from 1960 until her retirement in 1992. She retired as the Deputy Supervisor. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Estero Island Chapter #850273.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Phyllis S. Gutknecht and her husband, Rick of Bonita Springs, FL; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Ray Smith in 1988, her two sons, William E. Smith in 2011, Mark L. Smith in 2007 and her three sisters, June E. Arnold, R. Eleanor Santini and Phyllis E. Byrd. Funeral services will be held at Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home 28300 So.

Tamiami Tr. , Bonita Springs, FL. Private burial will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
