Barbara Ann Lowery Parks, 86, of Smackover, AR passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, AR. Barbara was born March 8, 1933 in Junction City, AR to the union of John P. Lowery and Annie Mae Smith Lowery. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Murry Parks, two sisters, Gladys Spain and Janet Carter, one brother, Preston Lowery.

Barbara was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Smackover, AR, and the Smackover Chapter of the OES. She was an avid reader and famous for her chocolate pies and chocolate chip cookies, and was an Elvis fan. She was a sweet and beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her three daughters, Linda Ann Christian and husband Charlie of El Dorado, AR, Becky Henley and husband Waylan of Stella, MO, and Cindy Hughes and husband Ralph of Hot Springs, AR, three sisters, Jane Spruill, LaVerne Bowden, and Judy Corley and husband David all of Smackover, AR. one brother, John Lowery and wife Donna of Camden, AR, two sisters-in-law, Ellen Lowery of Camden, AR and Jean Parks of Hot Springs, AR, six grandchildren, Josh Henley and wife Julia, Hillary Heywood and husband Jeff, Sam Henley and wife Sarah, Josh Hughes, Alex Killingsworth and husband Mike, and Corbin Hughes and wife Anna, five great grandchildren, Edith Heywood, Dorothy Heywood, Finn Henley, Harriette Henley and Lynette Henley. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Smackover, AR.

prior to the services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Smackover with Rev. Steve Cook officiating.

Interment will be in the Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 500 West 7th Street, Smackover, AR 71762.
