Funeral service for Barbara Anne Compton, 80, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home. Barbara was born on July 27, 1938. She was one of 10 children.

She graduated from Decatur High School in 1957. Barbara was the Office Manager of Joe Sartain Ford for over twenty years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and volunteering at Chestnut Grove Elementary School assisting with reading development for elementary aged children.

Barbara was a loving mother entirely devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Bill H. Compton, his wife Pam and 6 children, James Andrew, Kellsey, Kove, Emily, Hannah and Wyatt. Joanna Carol Compton and 2 daughters, Jorday and Crissy and her husband Vernon and their two children, Sawyer and Lila Kate.

Dianna Compton Parker, her husband Beau and 2 daughters, Catherine and Lauren. Gregory Todd Compton, his wife Leslie, 1 son, Aaron and 2 daughters, Beth Ann and Anna Claire.
