Funeral service for Johnny W. McNutt Sr. age 72 of Falkville will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at 3:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Aaron Dawson officiating with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. McNutt, who died on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home, was born May 21, 1946 in Morgan County to Alford Early McNutt and Ethel Brown McNutt. Johnny loved Gospel Music and was an accomplished musician. He had the ability to play any instrument he picked up and could sing any part.

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Viet Nam War, retired from MCATS and Morgan County Schools. Johnny loved his family especially his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He is survived by his wife; Frances McCollum McNutt, a son; Johnny McNutt Jr. (Renee) a daughter; Amy Green (Willie), 4 grandchildren; Caleb Roper, Ashley Shumake, Zachary Cole (Vanessa) and Courtney Shumake and 6 great-grandchildren.

William Buchanan, Caleb Roper, Zachary Cole, Buddy Roper, John McCollum and William McCollum will serve as pallbearers. Eli Roper, Owen Roper, Jewlian Smith and Dadrian Buchanan will be honorary pallbearers The family would like the say thanks to Comfort Care Hospice for their wonderful compassionate care!
