Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at Shattuck Manor. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn (Gingrich) Moreau, Barb was born July 2, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan.

She married James P. Stamper Sr. on December 15, 1945. He predeceased her August 25, 2005. Barb was employed at the Saginaw Board of Education as a secretary for many years until her retirement.

She was a past member of First Congregational Church and the Bridget Fuller Circle. Barb enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. Most of all, “Babs” loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, two sons and their spouses, James P. (Marcia) Stamper Jr., Birch Run; Val Stamper, Saginaw Township; Michael (Crista) Stamper, Dahinda, Illinois; Deb (Curt) Spicer, Clarkston; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Amber) Stamper, Andrew Stamper, Allison Spicer and her husband Eric Gielow, Tiffany (Tobin) Radka, Sean (Alyssa) Spicer, Rachel (Matt) Cline, Miranda (Bandy) DeShields and Kelly Stamper; four great-grandchildren, Julia, Lillee, Ellis and Tess; one sister, Marilyn LeBlanc; many nieces and nephews and special friends including Catherine. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Lynn Stamper, and by a brother, Richard Moreau. Barb’s family extends their gratitude and appreciation to Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre, Wellspring Hospice and Shattuck Manor staff for their loving and compassionate care, especially Sherri, Dawn and Alarey.

Funeral service will take place 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev.

Bill Bodnar will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Old Town Christian Outreach Center or Wellspring Hospice.
