Barbara Carman, age 85 of Kingston, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Known in her family as Betty Lee, she was born in the Imperial Valley of California, but she also called home Salinas, the Cedars of Rutherford County, Viola, McMinnville, and Harriman. Barbara worked 30 years in the Bank of Roane County rising from teller to board member.

She was married for 35 years, raised two sons, and was active in Bradbury United Methodist Church. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Reed Carman; her parents O.L. and Elizabeth Dunn; five brothers Jack, Sonny, Hugh, Bub, and Bill; and six sisters Thelma, Lib, Almetia, Mary, Eloise, and Frankie. She is survived by her brother Harry Dunn and sister Sue Carter of McMinnville and sister Goodie Webb of Morrison, as well as her sons Bill and Jim, many many beloved nieces and nephews, and her adored grandsons Martin and Lucas Carman.

Funeral 1 PM Thursday, January 31 in the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Crystal Smith officiating. Interment at Bradbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Thursday at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Roane County Cooperative Ministries (RCCM), 733 E.
