Barbara G. (Olson) Ellis Knox – Barbara G. (Olson) Ellis passed away suddenly on August 14, 2018 surrounded by her family in Bangor, Maine. She was born April 9, 1934 in Millis, Massachusetts, the daughter of George Olson and Beatrice (Fisher) Olson. Barbara was a homemaker, involved with her church group and affiliated with historical societies and musical bands.

Ellis, Sr. and her sister, Charlotte (Olson) Lebherz, of Falmouth, MA. She is survived by her three sons, Robert H. Ellis, Jr. of Millis, MA; William and wife Enid of Wheelock, VT; and Stephen of Marion, MA and Fayette, ME; four grandchildren, Timothy Ellis of Franklin, TN, Nicole Brown and husband Michael of Bedford, NH, Alissa Holt and husband Luke of Warren, RI.

And Heather Lynch and husband Maury of Montpelier, VT. She is also survived by two great-grandsons, Owen and Colin Brown. She will also be missed by close friend and companion Harold Emerson of Knox.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Lake Stream Historical Society, 9 Brown Lane, Grand Lake Stream, ME 04668 or charity of choice. A memorial service will be held October 13, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast, ME. A private burial will follow.
