Barbara Jean Simpkins, age 87, of Adrian, MI, passed away, June 26, 2018, at Magnum Care of Adrian. She was born October 25, 1930, in Monroe, MI, the daughter of John & Beulah (Long) McCarty. She is survived by her son, Rick (Shelley) Simpkins of Addison, her grandchildren, Eric (Joey) Simpkins, Holly (Jason) McAvoy, Tammy (Shawn) Phillips, Mike Simpkins and Travis Simpkins, multiple great grandchildren and her sister, Phyllis Klocke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred Simpkins, one son, Michael Simpkins, one brother and four sisters. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 30, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Raul Burciaga officiating. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
